Kevin Weedmark

Moosomin-Montmartre

Kevin Weedmark was elected as the MLA for Moosomin-Montmartre in the 2024 provincial election. He currently serves as Deputy Government Whip and Legislative Secretary to the Minister of Health.

Before joining the Saskatchewan Legislative Assembly, Kevin was an award-winning journalist and built a successful printing and publishing business in rural Saskatchewan. He published the World-Spectator, Saskatchewan’s oldest weekly newspaper, which has been in continuous publication since 1884, as well as Ag News and Plain and Valley.

Kevin has been actively involved in his community for many years. He served as longtime president of the Moosomin Chamber of Commerce, participated on his local housing authority board for many years (chairing it in recent years), and contributed to the local economic development committee. He was also a founding member of the Community Builders Alliance, which helps new businesses get established and assists retiring business owners in transitioning their businesses to local successors.

Through these efforts, Kevin has worked to strengthen his community, helping Moosomin gain a reputation as a progressive and growing community.

Kevin lives in Moosomin and frequently travels across the Moosomin-Montmartre riding, seeing tremendous potential in every community he visits.
