Everett Hindley
Swift Current
Everett Hindley was first elected as the MLA for Swift Current in a 2018 by-election. He was re-elected in 2020 and 2024.
Everett grew up on a family farm near Melfort, SK and moved to Swift Current in 1996 to begin a career in broadcasting. In October 1999, Everett began working for newly-elected MLA Brad Wall as his constituency assistant. Upon the Saskatchewan Party’s election as government in 2007, Everett served as the executive assistant to the Premier, which was a position he held until Premier Wall’s retirement from politics in 2018.
Everett has previously served as Government Whip and as the Legislative Secretary to the Minister of Trade and Export Development, and was first appointed to cabinet in November 2020 as Minister of Mental Health and Addictions, Seniors and Rural and Remote Health, and then as Minister of Health in 2023. He was appointed as the Minister of Education in November 2024.
Everett and his partner Erin and their family make their home in Swift Current. They are active members of the Swift Current Kiwanis Club and enjoy music, hiking and the outdoors.
