Statistics Canada’s latest economic reports show that Saskatchewan’s manufacturing sales rose by 18.8 per cent in April 2026 compared to April 2025. Figures for wholesale trade rose by 17.9 per cent in the same period. This places Saskatchewan first among the provinces for year-over-year growth in wholesale trade and third for manufacturing sales. Latest data from the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation also shows that Saskatchewan’s urban housing starts increased 50.4 per cent from May 2025 to May 2026, ranked second of all the provinces.
