Government Protecting Patients by Strengthening the Medical Profession Act

Today, Health Minister Jeremy Cockrill introduced amendments to The Medical Profession Act to help protect Saskatchewan patients. Changes to the Act will:
- expand the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan’s (CPSS) investigative powers;
- clarify that the College of Physicians and Surgeons will have clear responsibility to prosecute offences under the Act;
- and increase the fines for offences.
