Today, Health Minister Jeremy Cockrill introduced amendments to The Medical Profession Act to help protect Saskatchewan patients. Changes to the Act will: 

• expand the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan’s (CPSS) investigative powers;
• clarify that the College of Physicians and Surgeons will have clear responsibility to prosecute offences under the Act;
• and increase the fines for offences.
