Ken Cheveldayoff

Saskatoon Willowgrove

Ken was first elected as an MLA for northeast Saskatoon in 2003 and has since been re-elected in 2007, 2011, 2016, 2020 and 2024. 

 

He has served as a cabinet minister under both Premier Brad Wall and Premier Scott Moe and is currently the Minister of Advanced Education. Ken has held several key positions, including Minister of Crown Corporations, Minister of Enterprise and Trade, Minister of Environment and Minister of Parks, Culture & Sport, among others. He has also served as Government House Leader.

 

Ken played a key role as chair of the Build Committee, overseeing the construction and financing of Mosaic Stadium, and worked closely with the Government of Saskatchewan, the City of Regina and the Saskatchewan Roughriders. He has also been involved in major events, serving as vice president of the World Junior Hockey Championship in Saskatoon and on the executive of the Memorial Cup in Saskatoon and Regina.

 

Ken holds a B.A. (Honours) in Economics and Political Science, a Master of Business Administration and has completed the Canadian Securities Course along with various financial courses. Prior to his political career, Ken was an entrepreneur, starting businesses in sports memorabilia, food distribution and real estate development. He also worked with Western Economic Diversification, helping businesses grow and expand. 

 

Ken and his wife have raised their two children in Saskatoon. The family is actively involved in several community organizations and activities.
