Mr. Scott Moe
Rosthern-Shellbrook
Scott Moe was first elected to the Saskatchewan Legislature in the 2011 provincial election.
Scott was born and raised in the constituency on a grain farm in between Shellbrook and Parkside. He is currently a small business owner in the area and has previous experience in agricultural equipment sales, agricultural production and custom application.
Scott was educated at the University of Saskatchewan where he received his Bachelor of Science in Agriculture degree.
Scott is active in the community through his work with the Economic Development Corporation, the Shellbrook and District Health Services Project Inc., and the Shellbrook and District Physician Recruitment Committee. He has also volunteered his time to work with local hockey and softball associations.
When asked about the Premier, Scott is enthusiastic, "Premier Brad Wall is someone I look up to as an example of strong leadership. He has done a phenomenal job of telling Saskatchewan’s story around the country and the world to attract investment and ensure our prosperity continues."
"Not only that, but Premier Wall and the Saskatchewan Party government have reduced our debt by over $3 billion since 2007, lowered taxes, supported farmers and improved our highways and infrastructure. Saskatchewan also now has the fastest growing population in Canada and we are predicted to lead the nation in economic growth. Saskatchewan is no longer the place to be from, it is the place to be."
Scott and his wife Krista live in Shellbrook with their two children. He enjoys many outdoors activities with his family, including quadding, snowmobiling, water-sports and cross-country skiing in what he describes as the "irreplaceable" landscape of Saskatchewan.
Scott is a member of Caucus Management Committee and is a member of Crowns and Central Agencies CPC and Standing Committee.
In May 2012, Premier Brad Wall appointed Scott as Deputy Chair of Public Accounts - the legislative committee that reviews all government spending.
Scott is currently the Legislative Secretary to the Minister of Agriculture for Agricultural Value-added and Agri-business.
