Larry Doke was first elected to the Saskatchewan Legislature in the 2011 provincial election.
Larry currently resides in the Resort Village of Metinota where he served as a councillor for the area since 2000. As well, he was recently the Director of the West Yellowhead Waste Resource Authority and the Chair of the Jackfish Lake West Water Utility and Waste Water Utility.
Before moving to Metinota, Larry was the owner/operator of Fairview Dodge in North Battleford. While Larry was a successful business owner he took time to be involved in the North Battleford community by sitting as a board member of the local Chamber of Commerce, spending 12 years on the Parks and Recreation board and 14 years on the board of the North Battleford Golf and Country Club and two years as its president.
Larry ran as a candidate in the 2003 provincial election in The Battlefords constituency. Larry says there is a new attitude in Saskatchewan under the leadership of Premier Brad Wall and the Saskatchewan Party government.
"The change in Saskatchewan is like a breath of fresh air. People are moving back, investments are high and we are the envy of the country. Premier Brad Wall has set a new standard of leadership for all of Canada and I am honoured to be part of the his team."
Larry is a member of Treasury Board, a member of Investment Board and a member of Economy CPC and Standing Committee.
Larry and wife Valerie have two children and five grandchildren. Larry enjoys restoring muscle cars, golfing, fishing and volunteering in the Metinota community.
