Mr. Don Toth
Moosomin
Don was born in Kipling and raised on the family farm near Langbank. He attended the University of Saskatchewan - studying Agriculture - and the Full Gospel Bible Institution in Eston, where he graduated with a three-year diploma. Prior to his political career, Don served on the boards of Langbank Co-op, People's Church of Kipling, R.M. Council of Silverwood, Kipling Hospital, Pipestone Home Care, Langbank Recreation and Kennedy Library.
Don was first elected to represent the Moosomin constituency in the 1986 general election. He was re-elected in 1991, 1995, 1999, 2003, 2007 and 2011. He was named Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan on December 10, 2007, the first day of the opening session of the 26th Legislature.
Aside from his political duties, Don keeps himself busy helping on the farm and spending time with his wife Lois, their children, and most importantly, the three grandchildren.
Mr. Toth has also served as the Chair of the Legislature's Privileges House Committee, the House Services Committee and the Board of Internal Economy. He currently is the Chair of Economy CPC and Standing Committee, a member of Planning and Priorities Committee and a member of Privileges House Committee.
